The non-profit organizations serving Santa Fe are on the front lines of helping immigrants in our community. Below are the current social service organization actively participating in the Faith Coalition.
The Adelante Program, offered through Santa Fe Public Schools, supports children and youth experiencing homelessness—including immigrant families—by providing advocacy, bilingual case management, school supplies, food assistance, emergency funds, and referrals to housing, mental health, medical, legal, and educational services. Reaching over 1,100 students annually, Adelante ensures families navigating housing insecurity or challenging academic situations don’t have to go it alone.
Founded in 1997, Gerard’s House provides free, bilingual grief support through peer groups, individual counseling, mobile outreach, summer camps, and crisis response services—particularly serving vulnerable youth who’ve experienced death, deportation, separation, or incarceration. Its Nuestra Jornada program specifically supports Latino immigrant children and teens navigating grief from complex losses, including violent deaths, border separation, or immigration trauma.
The New Mexico Immigrant Law Center provides free legal services, advocacy, and education in order to advance justice and equity by empowering low-income immigrant communities across New Mexico. Their legal services include assistance with DACA renewals, asylum applications, citizenship, humanitarian petitions, deportation defense, and more.
Las Cumbres Community Services offers powerful support for immigrant and refugee families through its Santuario del Corazón and WINGS programs, providing trauma-informed mental health care, family navigation, translation, legal assistance, and connections to essential resources like housing and food. These services ensure culturally sensitive support across Northern New Mexico, helping newcomers build stable, thriving lives in their new communities.
Contigo Immigrant Justice, formerly known as the Santa Fe Dreamers Project, provides free, high-quality legal services to immigrants. They offer assistance with DACA renewals, citizenship applications, family-based immigration, and humanitarian protections, including support for survivors of domestic violence and LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. Contigo also engages in community education and advocacy to uphold immigrant dignity and rights.
Esperanza Shelter provides comprehensive support to immigrant survivors of domestic violence through its trauma-informed services, including emergency shelter, counseling, and legal advocacy. Their bilingual staff and community navigator programs ensure culturally sensitive assistance, helping clients access essential resources and navigate legal systems effectively.
