Our partner congregations are the foundations of the Santa Fe community. Below are the current faith organization actively participating in the Faith Coalition.

Established in 1867, First Presbyterian of Santa Fe is the oldest Protestant church in New Mexico and Arizona. The congregation is within the Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States.
The Open Circle church community is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), whose history goes back to the revival movements in Kentucky in the early 1800s. Evolving from First Christian Church of Santa Fe, they are also members of the Disciples LGBTQ+ Alliance.

Westminster Presbyterian Church was formed in 1893, as a Spanish-speaking congregation where all worship services, classes, bibles, and materials were originally in Spanish. Today, this Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation worships in English and Spanish and are members of More Light Presbyterians, an organization dedicated to the full inclusion of LGBTQIA persons.
St. John’s United Methodist Church, affectionately known as “the Pumpkin Church,” began in 1888 as the Main Street Methodist Episcopal Church South near the Santa Fe Indian School. In addition to selling pumpkins from the Navajo Nation, it offers programs like Bag n’Hand Food Pantry, continuing its legacy of inclusive worship and community service.

Christ Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and are a Reconciling in Christ congregation. They began as a mission in the early 1960s and currently host “pallet homes” as part of the city’s Safe Outdoor Spaces to individuals experiencing homelessness.
United Church of Santa Fe, a congregation of the United Church of Christ, began in 1979 with just thirty members meeting in the back of El Gancho Restaurant—going through the bar to reach their worship space. Since then, the church has grown to serve hundreds of members with a vibrant, inclusive community dedicated to outreach, multicultural ministry, and environmental stewardship.
